Gilbert & Sullivan’s 14th and last collaboration, in concert format. The plot hinges on the misinterpretation of an old law regarding statutory duels (decided by drawing cards). The frugality and phoniness of the wealthy classes and the nobility are lampooned.

Ring in the new year with our annual business meeting and sing-along. Hear your favorite (and some new) performers sing their favorite love-themed G&S songs in this free show. Elections for the GSA 2026 board will also take place. A buffet of treats provided by the GSA board and audience members follows.

2026 Summer Grand Production

Join us in June 2026 for our summer grand production of Patience. Last performed by GSA in 2012, Patience is the sixth operatic collaboration of fourteen by W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan. It was first performed in London in 1881, and was an immediate hit with audiences. Patience has some of Gilbert’s finest comedy and Sullivan’s most captivating tunes, adding up to a masterwork fully equal to their very best. It has wit, charm, poetry . . . and a delightfully complicated love triangle. A high-spirited send-up of artistic affectation. It is at heart a comic opera about the heart-love unknown, love unrequited, love of admiration, love of the fashionable, unselfish love, and selfish love, too.
